Bright sunny skies and cold temperatures should see us through the weekend, with milder temperatures and a bit of snow is in the forecast for next week.

The early morning temperature hovered around -18 C, not so bad, but factor in the 15 hm/h wind and it will feel closer to a bone chilling -32. That increases the risk of frostbite. So if you venture out, bundle up.
The high Saturday is -9 C, with a windchill of -14 in the afternoon, low -26 C the windchill -34 overnight and into Sunday morning.
Expect sunny skies again on Sunday, according to the Environment and Climate Change Canada forecast, the high -11 C and the low is -20. The wind chill is -34 in the morning and -14 in the afternoon.
Monday looks to be sunny and -7 C and low -12 C.
Expect periods of snow Tuesday the high -2 C with a low of -10 C.
Mixed skies return Wednesday with a high of -2 C and low of -9 C.
Thursday is cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of flurries and high of -4 C.
