A crash on Highway 148 near Gatineau on Monday killed one person and injured another, MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais police said in a media release.
The collision, which involved three vehicles, occurred around 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 148 and McCaffrey Road, just past the border with the Aylmer district of Gatineau.
The victim was 57-year-old Daniel Pilon of Rawdon, Que. He had been living in Ottawa for some time, police added.
One of the other drivers had multiple fractures, but was expected to survive, police said.
The police investigation was continuing on Tuesday. MRC police said they were seeking possible witnesses to the collision as well as anyone who had been in contact with Pilon in recent days.
