Ontario reported 2,938 new cases of COVID-19 on Easter Monday on top of the 3,041 reported on the Sunday of the holiday weekend.
Toronto again topped the list with 906 new cases, followed by Peel with 533 and York Region with 391, according to figures tweeted Monday morning by Health Minister Christine Elliott

Ottawa reported 230 cases, according to the provincial data, which often differs from the figures provided locally by Ottawa Public Health. OPH reported 198 cases on Sunday and 240 on Saturday.
There were 36,600 COVID-19 tests done Sunday in the province and 46,400 done on Saturday.
As of 8 p.m. Sunday, the province had administered more than 2.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines.
Monday also marks the first day for Ottawa’s newest testing site at the Howard Darwin Centennial Arena on Merivale Road.
The site will remain open for at least two weeks, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for anyone older than four. Those wanting to be tested must make an appointment by calling 1-877-232-8828, a line scheduled to be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
