Ottawa Fire Services got multiple 911 calls reporting the fire on Des Aubrais Crescent near De Lamarche Avenue at 11:02 p.m.
Arriving crews confirmed smoke and flames at the two-storey house and worked to protect seven nearby homes by stretching multiple lines of fire hose.
No one will be displaced by the fire but there was damage to neighbouring homes including melted vinyl siding.
